One more complaint filed against JnU teachers

One more student of the Film and Television Department at Jagannath University is facing threats of expulsion from the university, along with threats of murder, for accusing a teacher of sexual harassment.

The victimized student filed a complaint against the accused teacher, Abu Shahed Emon, and department chairman Junayed Ahmed Halim at the Detective Branch (DB) office of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), seeking safety for her life.

After filing the complaint with the DB office on Minto Road on Monday afternoon, the victimized student stated, “The teacher of my department, Abu Shahed Emon, sexually harassed me.

After lodging this complaint, the department chairman and the accused teacher continued pressuring me in various ways to withdraw it.

Since I did not comply, they threatened to expel me from the university, as well as to inflict physical harm on me, including cutting off my hands and feet. Additionally, I faced various obstacles, such as failing exams with zero marks.
