Pay donation to underprivileged through bKash

Many charitable and voluntary organisations are working across the country.

Over the past few years, bKash has beensimplifying the process of sending financial assistance to various charity organisations.

Currently, donations can be made to 28 charitable organisations through bKash.

Some these include — Mirzapur Ex-Cadets’ Association, DoNation Foundation Trust, SOS Children Village Bangladesh, ProthomAlo Trust, JAAGO Foundation, Tasauf Foundation, Shakti Foundation, Liberation War Museum, SAJIDA Foundation, Quantum Foundation, National Liver Foundation of Bangladesh, As-Sunnah Foundation, icddr,b, Dhaka Ahsania Mission, BRAC, Center for Zakat Management, Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation, AnjumanMufidul Islam, etc.

To donate through bKash app, customers need to click on the ‘Donation’ icon from the ‘More Services’ section of the bKash app.

Then, the preferred organisation can be selected from the list and the customers need to submit their name, email ID and amount of donation.

If the donor want to hide their identity, they can tick the ‘unwilling to give identity’ option. In the next step, the customer will get an acknowledgment note after completing the donation process with bKash PIN.

Details about the organisation to which the customer is donating can be seen by clicking on the ‘Learn More’ section below the name of each organisation.

Donors can also contact respective organisation though the e-mail given in the acknowledgment note at after the donation to know where the money is being spent.

In addition to the bKash app, customers can also donate through the payment gateway from https://www.bkash.com/products-services/donation web address.

bKash has taken this initiative to make it easier for charities to collect donations and to allow customers to donate from the comfort of home.

The ‘Donation’ icon was added to the bKash app in 2020 to connect donors through technology and make donation easier.

bKash customers can easily give zakat and fitra, assistance for food, education and medical treatment for orphans, destitute, day labourers and extreme poor.
