QC’s Ramadan aid benefits 17620 needy people in Bangladesh

Qatar Charity’s Ramadan initiative benefitted 17,620 poor people in Bangladesh, including orphans, widows, and needy families.

Upholding the theme of this year’s Ramadan Campaign `Endless Giving’, it has delivered food packages from 16 places in the country including QC’s orphan care centers, said a press release issued by its Dhaka office on Saturday.

Food items distribution points include Dhamari in Dhaka, Bhairab in Kishoreganj, Comilla, Natore, Netrokona, Bagerhat, Barisal, Sunamgonj, Tangail, Narsingdi, Kurigram, and Pabna.

Aiming to feed the fasting, each family received 47 kg of foodstuffs for one month containing rice, cooking oil, sugar, lentils, grams, dates, salt, potato, and cooking spices.

QC’s staff of Bangladesh office managed the whole distribution process at every place. They even carried the heavy baskets on their shoulder to drop at the beneficiary’s homes to ease the difficulties of the beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries of the Ramadan initiative expressed their pleasure and thanked the Qatari people for their unwavering support.

In the middle of Ramadan, Qatar Charity will also provide food packets as Zakat al-Fitr Program will benefit more than 30,000.

QC has a plan to distribute food packets among 7,500 Rohingya families in Bhasanchar to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.
