KIDNEY FAILURE: Quddus needs help to survive

Abdul Quddus (35), a poor van driver of Bhangura Upazila in Pabna, has two kidney failures.

He is the son of Afaz Uddin of BhanguraDakshin Para village of the upazila. Abdul Quddus is the only earner in the family of two children and a wife. Currently, he is undergoing treatment under the supervision of Dr. Dilip Kumar Roy, a physician at the CKD and Urology Hospital in the capital.

The doctor suggested that at least one kidney should be transplanted urgently to save his life. It will requires both kidney and operation money. But this poor man does not have that ability.

Bhangura Union Parishad Chairman Golam Faruk Tukon confirmed the news of the illness of poor Abdul Quddus and called upon the wealthy to come forward for his treatment.

Prof Dr. Dilip Kumar Roy said that his kidney transplant is necessary. Therefore, he said that if a kidney is available to his relatives, the cost of operation and ancillary treatment may cost Tk. 3 lakh.
