Report in graft case against CJ SK Sinha Apr 24

A Dhaka court on Sunday fixed April 24 for submission of probe report in a graft case filed against former Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Judge (in-charge) Faisal Atiq Bin Kader of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court fixed the new date as investigation agency Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) couldn’t submit the report on Sunday.

ACC Deputy Director Gulshan Anwar filed the case against him on October 10 of 2021. The case was filed against SK Sinha under the sections 4 (2) and 4 (3) of the Money Laundering Prevention Act and section 5 (2) of the Anti-Corruption Act.

The ACC, in its investigation, found that the former Chief Justice paid Tk 75 lakh to RAJUK against the plot and built a nine-floor apartment complex on it at a cost of Tk 6.31 crore.
