SCBA vote counting scuffle: 3 AAGs sacked

NN Online Report: The government has sacked three assistant attorney generals (AAGs) over scuffle during the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) election vote counting.

The three assistant attorney generals are Kazi Bashir Ahmed, Jakir Hossain Masud and Shayma Akter.

As per the President’s order, a notification issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, confirmed this on Monday.

It is learned that the sacked assistant attorney generals are the supporters of Adv Nahid Sultana Juthi.

A case has been filed against Kazi Bashir and Zakir Hossain Masud in connection with the attack on Supreme Court Assistant Attorney General SR Siddique and others during vote counting at night on Friday (March 8).
