Shakib, Mustafiz, Soumya return to BD Squad for two T20Is

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, prolific Soumya Sarkar and effective left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman returned to Bangladesh Cricket squad for rest of the Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against Zimbabwe Cricket team. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Wednesday the Bangladesh Cricket squad.

The three T20I cricket matches between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe were held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

The fourth T20I match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital on May 10. The match will start at 6:00pm.

The fifth and final T20I game between the hosts and the tourists will take place at the same venue on May 12. The game will begin at 10:00am.

Shakib Al Hasan returned to the international cricket after 10 months. Mustafizur Rahman was in leisure after he completed his Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign. Mustafizur Rahman played for Chennai Super Kings and showed a spectacular performance before he returned to Dhaka.

Soumya Sarkar was not included for the first three T20I matches as he was suffering from injury.

Parvez Hossain Emon, Afif Hossain have been dropped from the squad. Left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam has been rested.

It may be mentioned that Parvez Hossain Emon and Afif Hossain did not get chance in the first three T20I matches.

Bangladesh already clinched the T20I series 3-0.

Bangladesh made an auspicious start as they thrashed Zimbabwe by eight wickets in the first T20I match on May 3.

The Tigers retained their winning streak as they crushed the African side by six wickets in the second T20I on May 5.

The hosts kept their winning row as they beat Zimbabwe by nine runs in the third T20I on May 7.
