13 Jamaat-Shibir men charged in school girl injury case

Police on Thursday submitted three charge sheets against 13 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Chhatra Shibir in a case of blasting cocktails in the city during hartal hours on March 28 last year that left schoolgirl Antu Barua injured.
Kotwali thana SI Kamruzzaman, also the IO of the case, submitted the charge sheets to the court against the accused including City Shibir president ANM Mashrur Hossain.
Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner (Prosecution) Nirmalendu Bikash Chakraborty confirmed the matter.
The other accused are : acting secretary general of South District Jamaat Mawlana Ferdous Koreshi, Kotwali thana Jamaat ameer Faisal Mohammad Yunus, South District Shibir secretary general Tareque Hossain, City unit (North) Shibir president Nurul Amin and organising secretary Sohel Rana and Shibir activists Altaf Hossain, ANM Harun, Delwar Hossain, Monjur Alam, Kafil Uddin, Mizanur Rahman and Amjad Ali. In the chargesheets, the IO, said the accused blasted cocktails in a planned way during hartal hours to create panic among the public minds.
