BGB destroyed drugs worth Tk 5 cr in Teknaf

The 42 Battalion members of Boarder Guard Bangladesh (BGB) destroyed many kind of drugs worth Tk 5 crore 36 lakh in ground of Teknaf BGB sadar area of Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Tuesday.
The destroyed drugs were seized from 11 November’2013 to 7 January 2014. BGB Cox’s Bazar Sector Commanders Col Khondakar Farid Hasan were present in destroyed programme as chief guest. 42 BGB commander Lt Col Md Abujar Al Jahid, Operation officer Captain H Kamrul Hasan, Narcotics Teknaf circle Inspector Mohammed Ibrahim, Upazila Academic Supervisor Nurul Absar, and another official among other were present on the occasion.  
BGB sources said that, Yaba, Humps , Bangla liquor, Phensydile and Lupizisks Injection were destroyed. In that time, BGB handed over a huge quantity of wine and beers worth about Tk 53 lakh 64 thousand and 600.
Lt Col Md Abujar Al Jahid , Commander of BGB 42 battalion Teknaf, confirmed this information and told journalists that the market value of destroyed drugs estimated at TK 5 cr 36 lakh 95 thousand. BGB Cox’s Bazar Sector Commanders Col Khondakar Farid Hasan said, BGB members were sincere to prevent boarder smuggling including drugs and arms and Rohingyas influx.
