Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of the BCB Jalal Yunus hopes Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team will become stronger soon.
Australia Women’s Cricket team arrived in Dhaka to play three-match ODI series and three-match T20I series against Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur.
Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team lost the two white-ball series against Australia.
After the last T20I match between Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team and Australia Cricket team, Jalal Yunus spoke to the newsmen.
Jalal said, ” We have to think that Australia Women’s Cricket team are the best side in the whole world.
They are better side as mentally and also physically.
They are better than India Women’s Cricket team as well as they are better side than England Women’s Cricket team.”
Yunus said, ” Our girls played against them.
I think they showed almost better brand of cricket.
There are some problems in their batting.
I hope they will improve their batting and solve their problems.
There are some newcomers in our side.
They will take time to adjust with the other players of the team.
I hope Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team will be a good side within one years.
The bowling of our team is pretty good.
They will bowl better in the future.”
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in Bangladesh in September-October of this year.
Before the World Cup Jalal thinks it is really a good step to arrange white-ball series for the Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team.
He said, ” The officials of the Women’s Wing of the BCB will measure that our girls played against stronger side.
If they play against weaker side, the officials could not find out the weakness.
So our coaches and the officials will find out the weakness of our girls.”
