Credit officer Kawsar Ali of the private development agency Resource Integration Center (RIC) who escaped after stealing Tk 12.5 lakh for giving loans to customers in Patuakhali has been arrested by the police on Friday and sent to jail on Saturday. Patuakhali Sadar Police Station, OC Md. Jasim informed this information.
The affected victims demanded the maximum punishment of the fraudster besides recovering their money. OC Md. Jasim said, on March 8, this organization named Resource Integration Center (RIC) had its annual banquet. At that time, credit officer Kawsar Ali did not go to Kuakata on the pretext of physical illness and stayed at the office.
Later, he fled with Tk 12.5 lakh of the loan application security money of 83 members of 13 societies and a Hero brand motorcycle.
