‘Nrityashilpi Foundation Bangladesh’ formed

A new dance organisation titled ‘Nrityashilpi Foundation Bangladesh’ officially began its journey organising a press
conference at the Zahur Hossain Chowdhury auditorium of Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka recently,
said a press release.
Freedom-fighter and renowned dance artiste Laila Hasan is the President of the organisation, which aims to play a role in promoting the country’s rich cultural inheritance, especially traditional dance forms.
Vice President of the organisation renowned dance artiste Lubna Marium, who presided over the press conference, spoke about four areas of focus of the organisation, including dance education, research and documentation, creative work and presentation, and supporting and sponsoring dance productions. General Secretary of the organisation renowned dance artiste Dipa Khandakar read out the constitution of the organisation at the press conference.
Senior dance artiste Nilufer Wahid Papri spoke about the forthcoming programmes of the organisation, senior dance artiste Kabirul Islam Ratan unveiled the organisation’s logo and dance artiste Mehbuba Mahnoor Chadni launched the organisation’s online publication titled ‘Nritya Probaho’ at the conference.
Besides, executive members of the organisation, including Bijori Barkatullah, Nadia Ahmed, Richie Solaiman, Shamima Islam Tusty, among others were also present at the programme.
