DPSC -UAP holds Inter-Department Debate Competition : Pharmacy unlocks new achievement as Champion, Law Runner-up

In a dazzling display of eloquence and wit, the Debating and Public Speaking Club (DPSC) of the University of Asia Pacific crowned its new champions and celebrated the prowess of its debaters in the grand finale held on campus auditorium on Sunday.

The event, which served as a testament to the university’s commitment to nurturing exceptional communicators, saw the Pharmacy team (Nowrin Nahar Brishty, Farhana Nigar, Dilruba Afrin Anindita) clinch the championship title, while their counterparts from the Law team (Humayra Adiba Kotha, Saniur Rahman and Ferdaus Khan Fair) secured a commendable runner-up position.

With an electrifying atmosphere charged with intellect and passion, the DPSC Grand Finale attracted a diverse audience comprising faculty members, students, and distinguished guests, including the Director of the Directorate of Student Welfare (DSW) and the DPSC Advisor.

Throughout the competition, participants showcased their remarkable oratory skills and critical thinking prowess, engaging in heated debates on pressing contemporary issues that resonate both locally and globally.

From socio-political dilemmas to ethical conundrums, the debaters demonstrated a deep understanding of the topics at hand, captivating the audience with their persuasive arguments and compelling rhetoric.

The Pharmacy team’s victory was a testament to their dedication, hard work, and mastery of the art of debate, while the Law team’s impressive performance affirmed their status as formidable contenders in the arena of public speaking and debating. Speaking at the event, the DPSC Advisor, DPSC President Mohammad Asif and other executive members expressed pride in the club’s achievements and emphasized its role in honing the communication skills of students, not only for academic success but also for their future endeavors beyond the university.
