Runa Laila, the famous singer of the subcontinent, sang for the first time in her long music career in Bangladesh Television’s Eid special magazine programme, ‘Ananda Mela’. She sang a new original song, not an old one.
Runa Laila has sung a song titled ‘Notun Prithibi,’ which lyrics were written by Director General of Bangladesh Shishu Academy Anjir Liton and music was composed by Ashraf Babu, only for ‘Anand Mela’. And with Runa Laila, Kona, Sabbir, Imran and Zhilik have combined their voices.
‘Ananda Mela’ jointly produced by Monirul Islam and Yasir Arafat will be aired on English News at 10:00pm on BTV on the upcoming Eid day.
And in this the audience can enjoy the song sung by Runa Laila. About singing at ‘Ananda Mela’, Runa Laila said, “Earlier, I was not specifically told about singing at ‘Ananda Mela’. Maybe it would have been sung. Anyway, after a long time, I am very happy to be able to sing for ‘Ananda Mela’. Anjir Liton has written this song very well, Ashraf Babu has done the music very well.”
“Along with me, artistes of this generation also sang the song with great sincerity. I have special thanks to BTV authorities. Special thanks to the person who brought the chair for me repeatedly during the shooting of ‘Ananda Mela’,” she also said.
Singer Kona shared her feelings by this way, “It still feels like a dream to me that our dearly beloved Runa Madam is standing beside me singing, together I, we are singing, in life. I never thought such a day would come in my life. Infinite gratitude to Allah. Thanks Runa Madam for giving me this opportunity.”
Another singer Sabbir told this correspondent, “I never imagined that I will stand next to Runa madam and sing the same song. But such a thing has happened to me. He is such a great artist, but like a very common man, he mingles with us and loves us.”
Imran said, “I have had the opportunity to sing with Runa Madam before this. But BTV’s signature show ‘Ananda Mela’ which I got to sing with Runa Laila madam – it will be memorable.”
Zhilik said, “Ever since that victory crown of the ‘Shera Kontho’ fell from the hands of Runa Madam, I have been taking her blessings. She always compliments my voice, that’s my love. I feel very happy to be able to sing with her at ‘Ananda Mela’.”
