The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Tuesday the 17-member Bangladesh Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the preparation camp. The preparation camp will be held to select some cricketers for the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.
The T20I series will be held marking the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in the United States of America and West Indies from June 1 to June 29.
Mohammad Saifuddin, Parvez Hossain Emon, Afif Hossain and Tanvir Islam have been included in the squad who performed really well in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket, which concluded recently.
Zimbabwe squad will reach in the capital on April 28. Meanwhile, Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Chandika Hathurusingha, Spin Bowling Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Mushtaq Ahmed, Performance Analyst of Bangladesh Cricket team Mohsin Sheikh arrived in the city. The preparation camp will be held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) in Chattogram from April 28.
Bangladesh Cricket team will take on Zimbabwe Cricket team in the first T20I at the ZACS on May 3. Bangladesh will face Zimbabwe in the second T20I at the same venue on May 5. Bangladesh will meet Zimbabwe in the third T20I at the same venue on May 7.
Then, Bangladesh squad and Zimbabwe squad will return to capital. Bangladesh will take on Zimbabwe in the fourth T20I match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur on May 10. Bangladesh will meet Zimbabwe in the last T20I at the same venue on May 12.
