Case filed over killing Morrelganj day labourer

A case was lodged with Morrelganj PS regarding the beating to death of a day labourer named Nurul Islm Munshi over the possession of a plot of land of his homestead. The case No.27 dated April 25, 2924.
It is stated in the case that an enmity had been prevailing between deceased Nurul Islam Munshi of village Chalitabunia within Khawlia Union under Morrelganj Upazila (in Bgerhat district) with neighbours Md. Kalam Gazi and Md. Kabir Hawladar for long over a plot of 40 decimal lands. On April 13 at noon the opponents appeared there all on a sudden in order to occupy the plot of land forcibly and when the deceased tried to resist them he was fatally injured in the hands of the attackers.
He was immediately admitted to Morrelganj Upazila Health Complex. But considering his precarious condition he was shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital for better treatment where he expired on April 25 after long 12 days while he was undergoing treatment.
On the same day afternoon Rasel Munshi, son of deceased Nurul Islam Munshi registered a murder case with Morrelganj PS against accusing 7 persons.

including Kalam Gazi and Kabir Hawladar as the plaintiff. The police were able to arrest 4 out of the total accused seven persons. The deceased day labourer Nurul Islam left behind 2 sons and 4 daughters to mourn his death.
