Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) conducted a drive in a fake animal feed factory in Kishoreganj’s Batrish on Monday. They found adulterated wheat-bran rice, atta and processing animal feed in unhygienic conditions. The factory sold the counterfeit products and tempering weight of the products.
The operation led by DNCRP Assistant Director (AD) Rehdoy Ronjon Bonik, supported by CAB district president Alam Sarowar Tito and DSI Shankor Roy and District Police.
DNCRP AD Rehdoy Ronjon Bonik imposed Maa Traders’ proprietor Abdus Satter fines worth Tk. 2 lakhs, destroyed 3000 sacks of banned and decomposed meat and bone meals.
The factory did not have BSTI approval for making animals feed, rice, atta, sold items, DNCRP AD Rehdoy Ronjon Bonik said.
Locals said, the dishonest businessman Abdus Satter was marketing animal feed, wheat-bran and fish feeds after manufacturing and selling those though time expired.
