Defending champions Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club, riding on a double hattrick by Shohanur Rahman Sabuj, earned another huge 11-2 goals win over Victoria SC in the 11-team Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League at the Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
With the day’s feat, Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club earned the 3rd consecutive victory in the league after suffering a shocking 1-5 goals defeat against Usha KC in league opener.
Mariner Youngs Club strongly came back in the league race crushing Azad SC by 13-2 goals in the 2nd match featuring two hattricks by Sabuj and Sadaf, and piled up a massive 18-1 goals victory over Dilkusha SC in the 3rd and last match, apart from day’s 11-2 goals win over Victoria SC.
In the day’s match, defender Shohanur Rahman Sabuj made a double hattrick scoring seven goals to raise his individual score to 17 goals in the four matches.
Besides, Belal Hossain, Sadaf Salehin, Fazle Hossain Rabbi and Abed Uddin scored one each Mariners Youngs while Mohammedan Hasan and another player scored one each for the Victoria SC.
