After a Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) board of directors’ meeting, the subject of the 2023 World Cup failure evaluation report matter came up today.

BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon came to the press conference after the meeting with the three-page report in his pocket.

When there was a question about the report, Papon took out the report from his pocket and said, “There is nothing here.”

“A committee was formed. They have had discussions with various stakeholders.

During their discussions, they provided some suggestions and recommendations. If you ask me, there is no information there that I or you may not know. What could be the possible cause for poor performance? If someone asks, they can say.

However, they have given quite a few recommendations and have started work accordingly” Papon said to the media in Mirpur on Saturday.

Quoting an unnamed source, a national daily wrote that the cricketers have alleged interference against two board directors who are with the World Cup team.

Those who have influenced the team, which makes the evaluation committee uncomfortable.

However, Papon said that he did not get anything like that in this report. “The chairman provided a report. There is no specific director’s name or line for anyone in the report. Such reports come every day.

I, along with Jalal [Yunus] Bhai, [Khaled Mahmud] Sujon, and a few other executives, have read out the entire report in front of them. I told them to see what’s there. They saw that there was nothing like that. If someone says something outside of it, we don’t have anything to do,”

“Work is already underway. You should understand. There have been many changes for so long.

Today, I said to give everyone the report. And the two names, which came outside, I read out every line to them. Whatever is being discussed outside, it’s not in the report they gave me.” he added.
