Former director of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited and Member of Hockey Committee of Mohammedan Sarwar Hossain said to this newsman over telephone, ” We have submitted a letter to Minister for Youth and Sports Nazmul Hassan.

We want that Sports Minister should take proper steps for Mohammedan, which were victim of injustice recently.”

Sarwar also said, ” If Sports Minister will not take proper steps, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club may withdraw their team from the next year’s Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League.

We also need that Sports Minister should dissolve this Executive Committee of Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League. Otherwise, we may boycott the next year’s Premier Division Hockey League.”

Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited collected 35 points from 14 matches before they faced Dhaka Abahani Limited in their last match of Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on April 19.

On the other hand, Dhaka Abahani Limited collected 34 points from 14 matches. Mohammedan led the third quarter by 3-2 goals.

Later, the umpire showed two red cards and one yellow card to the players of Mohammedan. Thus, Mohammedan refused to play.

If Mohammedan won the match Mohammedan would gained 38 points from 15 matches.

But as their two players were awarded red cards and one yellow cards, Mohammedan refused to play and the umpires announced that Dhaka Abahani Limited won the match by five goals to nil.

Thus, Abahani gained 37 points from 15 matches.

Meanwhile, Dhaka Mariners Youngs Club bagged 37 points from 15 matches.

Thus, the championship of this year’s Premier Hockey will be decided in a play-off match, which was scheduled to be held on April 21.

But the play-off match was not held due to unavailable circumstances.
